Security systems must be flexible as no two residences are the same. At ACI we take into consideration not only your concerns as a homeowner but also the size and layout of your property and any environmental factors which may trigger false alarms.  Your home security system may include a combination of the following devices: Perimeter protection (door and window sensors, glass break detectors), motion detectors, fire and smoke sensors and medical and personal emergency response products.

After contacting ACI you will meet with one of our professional technicians who can help you to understand how residential security works and what types of security products are typical for private properties.

We can then assess any security vulnerabilities on the property, areas where higher protection may be required (such as single points of entry or areas within the house where valuable belongings may be kept.) and combined with your needs and budget design your home security system.

Home security systems must be flexible enough to change with your needs and the locality that you live in. With this in mind we categorise security products so that you can customise your existing security when required. These are:

Alarm Systems

Depending on your needs and budget ACI can install either a wired or wireless alarm system. Both systems facilitate the same type of protection for your home.

Typically our home security customers will focus on perimeter protection, as this is your first line of defence when safeguarding your home. Products include: door and window sensors, intercoms, glass break detectors, invisible electronic fence (photo-electric beams), locks and custom security doors and windows.

Our second concern is what happens inside your home – motion detectors, panic alarms, fire and smoke sensors and personal emergency and response products ensure that you’re family and the contents of your home are covered.

If one of these alarms are triggered the audible alarms, strobes and central monitoring station will be activated and if required security and/ or police immediately dispatched to your home.

Alarm Monitoring

Without alarm monitoring your security system is nothing more than an alert system of strobes and sirens which does not ensure that assistance will be provided or that your security system will be correctly maintained.

Regular service checks increase the life of your security and/ or video surveillance equipment, minimise potential downtime and reduce the risk to your property.

*Did you know – Australian Standard AS2201.1 recommends security systems are periodically serviced. Failure to do so may result in the loss of any insurance claims if a fault causes property damage.

An alarm system must be 100% available in order to provide you with the reliability expected when you purchased the system. Optimal operation of your alarm system requires continual monitoring of the following system conditions:

• Intruder and Duress Alarms, Personal Attacks, Fire and Smoke Detectors
• System Fault or Tamper
• Loss Of Communication To ACI Security Monitoring Centre
• Break Down Service Action

Domestic Safes

The installation of a safe in your home is invaluable when you consider not only the monetary and sentimental value or jewellery and other personal items but also the risk of personal documents being used after burglary for identity fraud.

A domestic safe can either be set into the floor or bolted to the floor/ wall and concealed. It should also be theft and fire resistant.

These safes protect your valuables with:

Personal Emergency and Response

Personal emergency and response products are there to provide the reassurance needed when you feel vulnerable and require assistance, whether that be medical, fire or security related emergencies.

More and more people are seeing the value behind having one of our friendly staff available 24/7 ready to act on your emergency.

You may be someone looking to retain independence in your own home for a while longer, or maybe you’re a stay at home parent without access to a car during the day and unable to respond appropriately to emergencies, or maybe you live by yourself and feel insecure or have a medical condition. There are many situations that call for assistance.

How does it work?

ACI Security provides you with a small lightweight and waterproof pendant or wristband that can be worn discreetly. In the event of an emergency you just press the button on your pendant and a signal from the alarm unit contacts our 24 hour monitoring centre. You can then speak with our operators through the onboard speaker/ microphone to arrange assistance.
